OPEN CURATORS’ NETWORK
Open Curators’ Network was founded in 2017 by Sophia Cai and Tess Maunder.
It is an online community group that aims to fill the critical gap of curator-to-curator support. The group is an open platform and a shared space. Although focused at emerging to mid-career curators working independently, this group is open to all with an interest in curatorial practice.
We are very open to what frameworks constitutes curatorial practice and believe that even expanded writing, artistic, editorial, publishing and discursive practices can be considered curatorial – not only exhibition-based practices. We also welcome voices from transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary backgrounds.
